OXO tempered glass food storage
absolutely love a sturdy container - i've dropped 3 of these: one had a small surface shatter, but not all the way through; the other two had lid clasps break off (which doesn't actually matter much as long as you still have 2). only one that ever actually broke open was in the microwave immediately after coming out of the freezer. they can go freezer -> oven, but i guess the microwave was too intense. ever since, i just run frozen ones under a little cold water to remove the frost, it's nbd.
Household
Brother P-Touch Edge Label Printer
why is the name so horny? anyway it's a sick label maker and having a label maker is one of those household upgrades you really can't go backward from. i mean don't buy one if it doesn't sound appealing to you already, but if it's something you're considering, do it. "How old are those beans?" never gets asked anymore.
Dyson [Model] Cordless Vacuum
I was a holdout for a long time because I had a pretty nice traditional vacuum which I had repaired myself twice already and felt proud of. but my partner (at the time) used one of these at work often and kept saying how convenient it was. i didn't think that mattered, but eventually they said they'd vacuum more often if we had one of these, so i bought one (on sale, fortunately) and i have to completely agree. it's one of those upgrades where the friction to start the task (of vacuuming) is lowered so much that i do it way more often. i almost never even sweep anymore (on all hardwood floors), using the vacuum is easier. so i can recommend this.
