Curvise Style Guide

At Home

Pumpkins

Between late September and early October (or just whenever your grocery store starts to carry them), begin to purchase 1-3 small or medium pumpkins each time you get groceries. Arrange them in unobtrusive places indoors and outdoors. These can keep for more than 6 months at room temperature. Optionally, rearrange monthly. Compost any that begin to rot.

Additionally, large pumpkins can be used for civic messaging. If your front door or yard is in plain view of foot traffic, a little black paint and a 24-inch-tall pumpkin becomes an excellent seasonal reminder to your neighbors to vote in off-year local elections. Other messages can be imagined.

Storage

Prefer wall-mounting to floor-standing for storage (including shelves). The more open the floor itself, the better. Use containers for just about anything that will tolerate them; prefer high quality and good fit over ease of purchase though. When items are grouped, arrange categorically or by dimensional similarity, but avoid mixing both systems.

Digital

App Settings

Browse the full settings and configuration options for any new software right away.

Prefer stylish dark mode over paper-like light mode over OLED dark mode over white light mode.

Disable any tracking settings, before first login if possible, as a rule -- in the unusual case of installing software that has invasive tracking behavior. Use plugins to enhance security and privacy where possible. Don't set default security settings too strict, though. Do not opt-in to anonymous usage sharing for apps that haven't earned trust and/or goodwill.

Texting

Be prompt when able and never worry about timing responses. Nor stress about late replies when a response is not urgent - get to it when convenient and avoid letting texts interrupt other work (or play!). Matching energy is useful, but leading a conversation in effusive, honest friendliness is honorable and helpful to others.
