Mech Modeling
Known as Plamo (plastic model) or Gunpla (Gundam plastic model). Yeah I call it Gunpla even if it's not from a Gundam IP.
I'm not actually a fan of Gundam shows or designs (on the whole, and particularly actual Gundams (vs. the generic Mobile Suits), but there are some very good exceptions). I like the designs of a lot of other mech IPs though, such as Armored Core (video game series) and many that only exist as model kit series (like Hexa Gear).
I mostly build custom designs and spend a lot of time tinkering on them. Bandai's 30 Minutes Missions line is pretty much designed for that and allows a ton of creativity. But I also enjoy straight builds of more detailed kits.
